Emilie: This running thing is getting oooold
So I would like to be typing about how great this running is going for me and how much I look forward to it, but that would be a major lie. Now, I do like the way I feel after I run and knowing that this is good for weight loss and over all health is great too. Buuut…I would rather be at home reading a good book and snacking on some good food. BAH! This is hard! It definitely helps to have Jodi training for this marathon, too because it keeps me going on the days I want to skip a run. I know the next day she’ll ask how it went and I can’t lie about it!
So the moral of this blog is…hmm…This may not be easy or even CLOSE to fun, but it’s something I need to do for me. It will make me healthier, leaner and I’ll be so happy the day I throw myself through that finish line!
So today’s a day off of running for me, but tomorrow I’ll be hitting the track. Maybe I’ll catch the running bug by marathon day!

Emilie: My Running playlist
Ok so here is my running play list that I promised! A few of these songs (like the Fall Out Boy song) may not be for little ears, but that’s why I play it with ear buds in! Just make sure you don’t blast it and then hear something you don’t want your little one to hear!
1 – Natasha Bedingfield – Angel (she opened up for New Kids on the Block and she can SING)
2 – Estelle (with Kanye West) – American Boy
3 – Neyo – Closer
4 – Jason Mraz – I’m Yours
5 – Citizen Cope – Let the Drummer Kick
6 – Jordin Sparks – One Step at a Time
7 – New Kids on the Block – Single
8 – Paramore – That’s What You Get
9 – Toni Braxton – Man Enough for Me
10 – Fall Out Boy – Of All the Gin Joints in the World
11 – 10,000 Maniacs – These are Days
12 – John Mayer – Free Fallin’
I want to make Natasha Bedingfield’s song “Angel” the iPod pick of the week on Friday. It’s a great song. Go listen to it on her MySpace page!

Emilie: Week 2 running
Hmm. I need to talk to Dawn Braud about my newest problem. I keep getting headaches after I run, but it takes about 2 hours after I run for the headache to come on. I feel like I’m drinking tons of water, but maybe I’m not! Anyway I started off week 2 running and I ran the exact distance I ran last week! I’m going to have to push myself for 5 – 10 laps so I can start running farther! I’m putting together a good running playlist that I will share once I’ve typed it up! Any ideas about the headaches I’m getting??? (By the way…did you see my New Kids on the Block concert pics??? The concert was AWESOME!)
Thanks!

jodi – training troubles
Whoa! What have i signed myself up for?? My legs are killing me. My training did not go great this week. I struggled. Here’s what happened:
I was pre-monthly visitor this past week. I was tired, retaining fluids, and my “girls” were a tad larger than normal. The usual since I was 12. But, to RUN and feel like RUNNING with this!! Holy Moly.
Another BIG problem – we are scheduled to run on the 17th of January. The same time of the month that all the above mentioned will be with me. HOW AM I GOING TO DO THIS???
That’s what I’m worried about. Oh, and by the way – I got a true glimpe (from the car) at what 13 miles looks and feels like. It ain’t easy or quick.
It’s a good thing I’m stubborn. Otherwise I might be crying like a baby right now. No way I’ll give up. But I am scared.
