Emilie: “My best friend Leslie said ‘Oh she’s just being Miley’ “

Am I the only one tired of talking about Miley Cyrus’ Vanity Fair pictures? She may have made a bad decision, but I don’t think something like this will hurt her career. A month from now no one will care. I think she’s a smart girl and took a picture not thinking about mother’s being mad because their 5 year old daughters and older look up to her.
Remember when you were 15? I’m sure you made mistakes that you didn’t want anyone to know about. I certainly did. You live and you learn. I think she’s a great role model for little girls who made a mistake and has apologized. Can we leave it at that?

I agree that she just made a mistake. Think about all the stupid things we might have worn in public to look older or sexy, way before the appropriate time. The difference is that we usually tried to hide such things from our parents, and we didn’t live in glass houses.
I think the bigger problem with this situation is that her parents allowed her to make this mistake when their guidance to a better decision, rather than approval, would have been much more appropriate.
Regardless of all that, all of them will recover from this. I don’t believe there will be any lasting harm to anyone’s careers or reputations.
I just hope they learn from this … I SO don’t want Miley Cyrus to take the Britney or Lindsay paths.
